It’s that time of year! Will you help us collect food for working families and Stamp Out Hunger?
It's as easy as this: on Saturday, May 12, leave a bag of unopened, non-perishable food next to your mailbox before your letter carrier delivers the mail. The carrier will take the food to a local food bank and pantry.
This collection is part of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger food drive, which has collected over 1.6 billion pounds of food for families across the country since its inception 26 years ago. Last year alone, the NALC and union volunteers collected 75 million pounds of food to donate.
As public servants, we know how important serving our community is, and this is another fantastic way to support our neighbors.
So make sure to leave a bag of unopened, non-perishable food products in a bag for your letter carrier on Saturday, May 12 - and help us stamp out hunger!
