We’ve got you covered! Registration is now open for the annual National Conference on Worker Safety and Health to be held virtually on Dec. 6-8 and again Dec. 13-15.
The conference is the only national gathering that brings together occupational health and safety experts, unions, academics, and advocates to help make our workplaces safer and reduce injuries and fatalities.
It is presented by the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (COSH), a network that includes members of unions and workers’ centers, health and safety professionals, academic specialists, and nonprofit advocates. They specialize in peer learning and support for worker organizing and advocacy campaigns.
They have an organizing track that helps locals learn how to use health and safety in organizing. For example, you’ll learn how to use workers’ legal rights to win safer conditions, how to win strong health and safety contract language, how to use organizing strategies to build strong campaigns.
They also have workshops on building community coalitions in support of workplace health and safety. In addition, National COSH has a group of experts available to work with locals in most metropolitan areas to help address health and safety issues they might be dealing with.
