Brandy has worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for more than thirteen (13) years at FCC Forrest City, AR. Brandy began her journey in the Union as a Steward for Health Services. Thereafter she was elected to the position of L-922 Secretary Treasurer, where she served for almost 12 years.
As the local Secretary Treasurer Brandy ensured proper record-keeping, spending and capital investments of the Local’s dues. Her most significant accomplishment saw dues per capita increased the budget from $30,000 to more than $200,000 during her tenure. Brandy has also successfully persevered random audits performed by the Department of Labor (DOL). She is committed to work with persistence to ensure the Council’s records and investment portfolio can withstand similar challenge.
Brandy has experience with negotiations and have sealed multiple MOUs, Settlement Agreements, Local Supplemental Agreements. Nationally, she attends Labor Management Relations, and Partnership meetings - all has validated her abilities to assist Locals assigned to the Council.
Brandy brings her passionate style to the national level as the newly elected National Secretary Treasurer. She is dedicated to the 33,000 members and is passionate, dedicated to the Council’s mission in the Bureau of Prisons.
