Government Wide:

Stop the attacks on our union (H.R. 1259, H.R. 1364, & H.R. 1461)

These attacks focus on official time, one of our core union rights that AFGE uses to help employees get fair representation in workplace disputes. Anti-government employee lawmakers are trying to rush through bills that limit our union rights and silence our voice in the workplace.

Pass the FEPPLA (Federal Employee Paid Parental Leave Act):

No parent should have to choose between caring for a child or family member and a paycheck. Click here to write to your lawmaker and tell them: pass the Federal Employees Paid Parental Leave Act (FEPPLA).

Urge your Representative: Give Government Workers a 3.2% Raise!:

After years of furloughs and pay freezes, government workers deserve a catch-up pay adjustment. Write to your lawmakers and tell them: support the Federal Adjustment of Income Rates (FAIR) Act (S. 255 in the Senate and H.R. 757 in the House).

Stop the Attacks on Government Workers! (MERIT/PAGE/Holman Rule):

This hiring freeze won't make government more efficient, and it won't save taxpayers money. In fact, it will cost millions in contractor fees when our jobs are outsourced to private corporations. Tell your lawmakers: stop the freeze!

Stop the PAGE (Promote Accountability and Government Efficiency) Act:

We know better than anyone that government is efficient when workers like us are on the job and serving our communities. So please take 2 minutes and write to your Representative to tell them: do NOT cosponsor or support the PAGE Act.

TSA:

Pass the SATSA (Strengthening American Transportation Security Act):

We have the chance to secure Title 5 rights for all TSOs if S. 272, the Strengthening American Transportation Security Act (SATSA) passes. But we need your help to get it through the Senate.

BOP:

Cosponsor the Lieutenant Osvaldo Albarati Correctional Officer Self-Protection Act of 2017 (H.R. 613):

Being a correctional worker is a dangerous job, both inside and outside of the prison walls. Our COs need a safe place to store their firearm to protect themselves on their commute. Click here to write to your lawmaker and tell them: co-sponsor and support the Lieutenant Osvaldo Albarati Correctional Officer Self-Protection Act of 2017 (H.R. 613).
