The Union won two cases for U .S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) employees for their 2019 contribution (USASMDC) employees for their 2019 contribution based AcqDemo performance appraisals. Evelyn Daniels, VP for Non Professionals represented these employees.
One employee received an increase of 1 point to their overall performance appraisal which increased their overall contribution score which also increased the dollar amount for their base salary and performance award.
One employee received an increases of 1 point to their performance appraisal which increased their overall contribution score which included an increase in their base salary and performance award. This employees' Performance Appraisal Quality Level ( PAQL) was also increased from a level 3 Fully Successful to a level 5 Outstanding. The Second Step, deciding official, ruled in the favor of the employees based on the facts that were presented.
These are wins for the Union and the SMDC employees.

No action here, but this case was a little different.
The employee requested a new manager or transfer. He was granted a transfer and the grievance is complete. Baring any unforeseen items.The employee was lucky he had representation during the 1st step meeting. They tried throwing him under the bus and wanted to avoid addressing the issue.
During the 1st step meeting, I had to object to the odd and peculiar line of questioning. Everything got documented and corrected during the 2nd step. The write up for the 2nd step grievance response did state the following:
" I do find that the first step meeting did not appropriately address your grievance." { AN understatement of course, but still an admission}
The grievant was granted a Move. It is a win.
