AFGE has partnered with Grantham University to offer several courses to AFGE members who desire a college degree or who want to update skills. From accounting to medical coding and billing to engineering technology, Grantham offers 38 online undergraduate and graduate degree programs to support member’s educational goals.

AFGE members can complete their college courses completely online at home, at work, a Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) or from anywhere in the world – all at a special tuition rate of $250 per credit hour. Grants for textbooks and software may also be available.

This partnership also provides a full scholarship toward an undergraduate degree (valued at up to $36,000) for one eligible AFGE member every year. Grantham offers other unique scholarship programs for AFGE members who are active duty military, veteran, or military family members.

Time Sensitive

Your time is valuable. And because Grantham is 100% online, access to the entire University learning system is available 24/7. Grantham’s degree programs are flexible, portable and designed to help working adults fit an education into their life instead of arranging life around an education. Prior college coursework, civilian testing (DSST and CLEP), military courses and government training may be eligible for college credit.

Student Centered

Even though coursework is completed online, members are not alone. From the application process to the last class, an advisor is there every step of the way to answer questions, provide encouragement and help achieve graduating. Professors are always ready to help via email, during virtual classroom hours and by phone.

Grantham University has been continuously accredited since 1961 by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). DETC is the only accrediting organization focused solely on distance learning that’s recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. All of Grantham’s programs meet or exceed the DETC’s published Accreditation Standards.

In addition, the Mark Skousen School of Business has been awarded the status of Candidate for Accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
