AFGE statement on reappointment of Sheldon Friedman to lead Federal Prevailing Rate Advisory Committee
WASHINGTON – American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox Sr. today issued the following statement regarding the reappointment of Sheldon Friedman as chairman of the Federal Prevailing Rate Advisory Committee:
“I commend Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry for reappointing Sheldon Friedman as chairman of the Federal Prevailing Rate Advisory Committee. Sheldon is a brilliant economist, a consummate professional, and precisely the right person to be leading this important labor-management committee.
“AFGE is proud to have two members of our staff serving on the advisory committee: National Secretary-Treasurer Eugene Hudson Jr. and Public Policy Director Jacqueline Simon. They and I look forward to continuing to work with Sheldon and the other members of the committee as we explore ways to improve the federal blue collar pay system.”
