AFGE members to picket for fair compensation outside DC Water Headquarters

When:  9:00 a.m. ET, Thursday, December 1

What: As contract negotiations between the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority and the Unions that represent the majority of DC Water's workforce have hit an impasse, workers are rallying to fight back. The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents public servants at DC Water, want to raise awareness about the agency negotiating in bad faith and their efforts to strip benefits and compensation from union employees represented by AFGE, AFSCME, and NAGE.

Who: DC Water employees and members of AFGE District 14, Locals 631, 872, and 2553, AFSCME Local 2091, and NAGE Local R3-06

Where: 5000 Overlook Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20032 (Blue Plains)
