Largest Federal Workers Union Praises Biden FLRA Picks
AFGE commends ‘qualified picks’ for FLRA member, General Counsel
WASHINGTON – Today, American Federation of Government Employees National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s appointment of Susan Tsui Grundmann as a member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) and Kurt Rumsfeld as FLRA General Counsel:
“We are excited to see President Biden announce such qualified picks to help lead this important agency.
“Susan Tsui Grundmann brings decades of experience standing up for merit systems principles in the federal government, which will be invaluable in this role, while Kurt Rumsfeld’s previous work with the authority will ensure he can hit the ground running as he assumes the office of General Counsel.
“We look forward to working together with these bright minds to ensure fairness and integrity in federal labor relations.”
