WASHINGTON– The American Federation of Government Employees will hold its 2013 Legislative and Grassroots Mobilization Conference from Feb. 10-13 in Washington, D.C.
About 800 union activists from across the country are expected to attend this year’s conference, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill (400 New Jersey Ave. NW).

What: University of Baltimore Law School Professor Charles Tiefer, an expert in government contracting, will unveil a memorandum he has authored that provides Congress and agencies with explicit legal guidance on how to achieve most of the $85 billion in savings from sequestration by reducing spending on service contracts instead of cutting federal employees

Capitol Hill Rally
