It’s time to talk with and engage every VA employee. Below are progress questions on the plan outlined by NVAC President Lee in a letter to local leaders. Every employee in our bargaining unit needs to be asked to participate and to join the union. Materials can be found at afge.org/VACONTRACT
We have only a little time to build our member/employee engagement process that will build our collective union power. As we build our power, we will take larger collective actions to make our collective voice heard Action in support of a contract that ensures Dignity, Fairness, Respect.
Our first action is to collect the surveys from all the employees in June and July.
Our second action will be to collect petition signatures beginning in July.
We will build other internal actions for each month.

Let’s start with these first steps. The NVAC will begin bargaining in May and may continue through December 2019. Which means we have only a few months to get 250,000 people unified as one.
Every leader in the local is invited to respond to this. We will publish the results so you will know how we are all doing.
