Open Season for the Federal Employees Health Benefits(FEHB) Program begins soon, and if you enroll in Self Plus One, you may want to compare rates to make sure you get the best deal.
Most of the time, the premium for Self Plus One enrollment is lower than that for Self and Family as Self Plus One covers only the enrollee and one eligible family member while Self and Family covers the enrollee and all eligible family members.
But some plans offer a lower rate for Self and Family enrollment option.
In 2024, there are 48 plans to choose from the 22 listed where Self and Family enrollment is less expensive than Self Plus One enrollment.
