Being a financial officer in the union can be a tough job. With a myriad of laws and regulations from the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service, there could be pitfalls along the way for Financial Officers.

You can join the next National Secretary-Treasurer's (NST) Financial Officers Training on March 20-26, 2016 in Atlanta, GA. The training provides both new and existing AFGE financial officers the knowledge and tools necessary to properly perform the duties and responsibilities of those positions. We focus on the pertinent laws and regulations of the DOL and IRS. We explore the AFGE National Constitution, Local Bylaws and Constitution, and the responsibility that local financial officers have to them. We also suggest ways to organize and maintain your important financial information through our QuickBooks training.
The NST Financial Officers Training will be held at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, 210 Peachtree Street, NW; Atlanta, GA 30303. AFGE has special room rates - $138 per night for Single/Double occupancy, $158 for triple and $178 for Quad occupancy - which will end onFebruary 26, 2016.
