It’s been three weeks since the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) publicly announced a massive data breach of personnel data systems affecting millions of current and former federal employees.
Since then, AFGE has demanded that OPM share detailed information on the breach, take every measure to protect employees’ information, and grant employees administrative leave to deal with the fallout of their personal information being stolen. We are pursuing a full range of options – legal, legislative, and administrative – to hold OPM accountable and get the information and resources our members need to protect themselves.
AFGE has heard a great deal of concern and frustration from members regarding OPM’s response, and we want to be sure your voice is heard.
