It’s that wonderful time of year again to submit your nominee for AFGE Veteran of the Year!
This is an annual recognition to highlight the great work of our union veterans. The AFGE Veteran of the year award is identified by their local leadership for having consistently excelled in the local.
The AFGE Veteran of the year award recipient will have made a significant impact on the Local, as demonstrated by one or more of the following criteria: political mobilization, organizing, veteran recognition, and mentorship.
To be selected, each local president must submit one nominee, using the link below (also found on the AFGE Veterans page of the AFGE website). The deadline to submit your nominee is Dec. 17, 2021.
The winner will be awarded an all-expense paid trip for two to attend the Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. If the winner is unable to attend LegCon, an alternative gift will be awarded.
