Sometimes it’s hard to tell, but this group makes it easier to at least identify those who are publicly and aggressively trying to sabotage you.
Members of the so-called Yellow Pages Caucus are aggressively recruiting colleagues to join their efforts to hand over government functions to for-profit businesses.
Last Friday they circulated a letter to their colleagues, claiming “The Yellow Pages Caucus….brings together pro-free market parties in order to save scarce taxpayer resources.”
Never mind the fact that federal employees are two to three times cheaper than contractors.
Ignoring that fact, Rep. John Duncan of Tennessee cited the need to “save money” when he introduced a bill, H.R. 2044, to push agencies to give up control of government functions to for-profit businesses.
Right now there are 23 lawmakers who are members of the anti-federal worker coalition. See below if your member of Congress is one of them:
Reps. Pete Sessions, Texas; Diane Black, Tenn.; Andy Barr, Ky.; Dan Benishek, Mich.; Marsha Blackburn, Tenn.; Rod Blum, Iowa; Jim Bridenstine, Okla.; Mo Brooks, Ala.; Bradley Byrne, Ala.; Mike Coffman, Colo.; Kevin Cramer, N.D.; John Culberson, Texas; John Duncan, Tenn.; Virginia Foxx, N.C.; Tom Graves, Ga.; Richard Hanna, N.Y.; Bill Huisenga, Mich.; Lynn Jenkins, Kan.; Tom McClintock, Calif.; Mark Meadows, N.C.; Mick Mulvaney, S.C.; Kevin Yoder, Kan.; and Todd Young, Ind.
