Employed by DoD at the Hart Doyle Inoye Federal Center on Battle Creek Michigan and recently celebrated my 30-year anniversary.
Over the span of my career I’ve worked as a Program/Management analyst and a Budget Analyst. Additionally, I served as an EEO Collateral Counselor for 16 years prior to becoming a local officer at Local 1626. I served as Chief Steward for one term and currently in my 3rd term as President. I previously served as EVP on the DLA Council and on the DEFCON steering committee. I serve as Vice Chair of the Human Rights Committee.
Because of a passion to help others less fortunate I became involved in serving in my current capacity. I take pride in being a strong voice that created change in the workplace.
On a personal note I am the mother of 2 beautiful daughters Shameika and Areathia and grandmother to 3 beautiful granddaughters and 1 handsome grandson.
My motto in life: If I can help somebody as they travel along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or song, if I can show somebody he is traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain.
