WASHINGTON — This week “Inside Government,” the radio show produced by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the nation’s largest federal employee union, will examine the presidential transition process. The show will air on Friday, Dec. 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET nationwide on Federal News Radio at www.federalnewsradio.com and 1500 AM in the Washington, D.C., area.
Lynn Jennings, executive vice president of the Council for Excellence in Government, will discuss President-elect Barack Obama’s transition process – from Cabinet selections to filling thousands of federal political appointments. In addition, Bryan Lowry, president of the Council of Prison Locals, will discuss the dramatic increase in violence throughout the nation’s federal prison facilities.
