The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest union representing federal workers. AFGE Local 2348 is working to organize and empower DHA employees—from medical support staff to administrative professionals.
Headquartered in Sembach, Germany, the Defense Health Network Europe provides care to more than 220,000 beneficiaries across the region. With 22 military hospitals and clinics in Bahrain, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, the network plays a vital role in sustaining medical readiness and supporting our warfighters. Our Europe Local's workplace has about 1,200 federal bargaining unit employees—full-time and part-time—supporting the Department of Defense Mission. Our workplace also includes active duty and reserve military personnel and foreign nationals (called "Local Nationals - who have their own union and protect their employees). As we work toward official union certification for DHA Europe workplaces, your support is critical. Together, we can ensure fair treatment, consistent workplace standards, and a strong voice for all DHA federal employees—from CONUS to OCONUS, and back.
